Christian Devotions by Topic
We have Christian bible devotions listed by topic about prayer, faith, friendship, children, or love. They are perfect to use for family devotionals or leadership lessons for serving/teaching others. Subjects such as change, worry or friendship are among the many to select from. All of these free short biblical teachings are written with a scripture or two from the New International Version of the Bible, accompanied by a brief Holy Inspired-spiritual message.
A few excerpts by topic:
Faith- Whatever Jesus desired he was able to get. Rather than having a huge abundant supply of funds that would purchase whatever he needed, his faith in God delivered miracle after miracle. Do you think Jesus was rich or poor?
Joy- Fullness of joy is found in the presence of the Lord. When we remain connected to him through prayer, worship, walking in obedience, reading the word and fellowshipping with other Christians, we can experience a level of joy that the world cannot give to us.
Sin- His mercy and grace are waiting for us every moment of the day. When we fall into sin, we get on our knees before the Lord, repent and ask for his forgiveness. If we stumble a thousand times, we can come boldly, without shame, to the throne of our loving heavenly Father and receive new mercies every morning and every moment of the day.
Devotion About Friendship- I have a really close friend who prays for me a lot. Have you ever set aside an hour to pray? The most amazing things happen when we set our purpose to spend quality time with God through prayer. Something that I have noticed is that I begin to pray for many people.
Prayer- There are four things that we should never be too busy for: prayer, fellowship with other believers, worship and reading the Bible. These are the very things that help keep Christians strong in their faith.
Focus- Every day we have a choice to either focus on sinful things or to follow after the things of the spirit. What will you be focusing on today?
Devotional about Wisdom- The Bible tells us that if we seek we will find. Do you need wisdom and knowledge? If so, then look for them. Where are we to find these two much-needed treasures?
Miracles- John 14:12 I tell you the truth; anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.

From the time when I awake until I go to sleep, I am continually praying to God. This is not something that I do on my knees though. Occasionally, I will bow before the Lord, but for the most part I just keep in constant contact with God in my mind and with my spirit.

While the Lord was on the earth, the book of Acts declares that Jesus went about doing good to all who were oppressed by the devil. Sickness and disease caused many to get discouraged, oppressed and depressed.
In many accounts of the gospels we see Jesus physically healed people. As a result of the physical healing the oppressed, depressed and hopeless were supernaturally cured in more ways than just in their bodies.

We see throughout the New Testament that Jesus reveals himself to the true believers and followers. As we read through the accounts of Jesus appearing to the disciples after his death, we better understand that He wants to reveal to us that he is still alive.

I learned a simple truth from a great evangelist. He always says; “you can’t expect God to anoint you if you don’t spend time with him.” The word is clear about seeking the Lord with all of our hearts and that he is supposed to come first in our lives.
One of the most important things we need to be careful about is getting too busy for God. Oftentimes, people will be doing a lot of great things for the kingdom of God and neglect spending time with Jesus.
When we have been with Jesus it is recognizable. The Holy Spirit within us brings a comforting presence to those around us. Our smile is seen as not just an ordinary smile but one that releases joy. Compassion flows through us and people can tell that we have been with Jesus. Take time to be with Jesus, make time to pray and read God’s word today
Acts 4:13
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
Prayer: Lord help me to recognize the importance of spending time with you more than what I already do. I don’t ever want to get so busy just doing good things that I break having daily fellowship with you. I really want people to know that I have been spending time with Jesus.

What happens if you tell an unbeliever that God will give them the desires of their hearts? People will have different perceptions of what God will give to them if they really do not know him. One person might say he desires to have a sports car like a Corvette or Porsche. Another will say a huge mansion over looking the Hawaiian surf. read Getting Our Hearts Desires
