Getting Our Hearts Desires

What happens if you tell an unbeliever that God will give them the desires of their hearts? People will have different perceptions of what God will give to them if they really do not know him. One person might say he desires to have a sports car like a Corvette or Porsche. Another will say a huge mansion over looking the Hawaiian surf. read Getting Our Hearts Desires

Many Call Themselves Christians are You Really Saved

Through my experiences on the streets witnessing to people, I learned that many will proclaim to be Christians. Here’s the truth though, very few of the people who claim to be born again are living a lifestyle that resembles Christ.

Importance of Unity Amoung Christians

Christians must learn how to keep unity. It doesn’t matter what difficulties are going on there’s a way to dwell with one another in peace. The best way to do this is by walking in the Spirit. Being filled with the fruits of the Spirit is the key. When we spend quality time with the Lord he leads and guides us into unity. When it is not there it’s possible what is happening is not of God because He desires for us to work together.

Psalms 133:1
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!

Unity is obtainable with others when we commit to fulfill the guidelines God has given to us in his word. Commands such as, Love your neighbor as your self and everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. Other biblical guidelines such as; love is patient, love is kind, it is not rude or selfish. These commands, when obeyed, can help tremendously in our relations with others. Lets not leave this one out, forgive one another. When we fully surrender our lives to Christ and start living by his principles, unity is obtainable with many people in increasing measure.

I you are dealing with situations where there’s arguing an bitterness among one another, seeking the Lord through much prayer is always a wise thing to do. We have to find God’s will for our lives and when there is disunity we really have to seek the Lord.

Prayer: Lord give me ears to hear your voice and to be able to clearly understand your will in the situations that I am dealing with with Christians in my life.

How to Live As Christians

How I love the Lord, as a Christian, is all I need to be concerned about. Everything else will fall into place if I can just do this one thing, love the Lord with all my heart, soul, strength and mind.

In our scripture below is a command of how we are to live our lives as Christians. In order to not complain or argue it will require that we take control of our thoughts as well as the words that come out of our mouths. Decide to shine like a star today; demonstrate self control in your conversations with others. If you do not have something good to say that will bring about a positive change in your life or others, perhaps it will be best if it is not said. Choose to edify yourself and others with your thoughts and words.

Philippians 2:14,15

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.

Today, love the Lord with your attitude towards others by being understanding, patient and kind. If we can do this, we just may be surprised at how many people, Christians or not will smile at us.
