Focusing on Wrong Things

Every day we have a decision to make to either focus on wrong things or to follow after the life of the Holy Spirit. What will you be focusing your attention on today? Will you be spending time in prayer? What radio station will you be listening too? What or who will you worship today?

In this present time that we live in, it’s possible to be completely enveloped by the things of our Lord throughout our days and nights. We have hundreds of thousands of Christian radio stations to tune in to, a large assortment of translations of the Bible to read and a new book on countless subjects that you can be thought of about spiritual things. We have at our becking call more than enough to help us keep our mind set on heavenly things.

Romans 8:5
“Those who live according to their sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires, but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”

But, even with all of these wonderful things to help us, it all works its way down to the daily choices that we make. We decide to walk in the flesh or choose to stay focused on the Lord.

I love to search out a silenced, peaceful location and spend time in praying. This always helps me to get focused on spiritual things. Consider taking time out of your busy schedule today and spend time praying in a quiet place. This will be a great way to not focus on wrong things.
